Angelus Domini [Christmas 1998 FDC- Great Britain]

For the year 1998, the Royal Mail issued the following series of stamps in celebration of Christmas. The stamps were issued on 02 November that year.

Here is the transcription of the text found on the philatelic insert:
Angels, in the Christian faith, are divine messengers. They fly between heaven and earth, bringing down the word of God. Angels can be heralds of joy and symbol of heavenly paradise, as what they are pictured as musicians. The biblical book of Luke recounts how an angel descended to earth with the joyful news of the very first Christmas: the birth of Jesus, Savior of Humankind.
