12-12-12

December 12, 2012 is the last of the same number date series that began on January 1, 2001 (01-01-01). There will no longer be a 13-13-13 unless a new month is created.

Collectors all over the world scrambled to prepare covers commemorating the date.
Here are some covers (both on envelopes and postcards) that were given to me by friends.

I made several covers worth Php 12.00 using a metering machine. I not only have a 12-12-12 cover... Mine are 12-12-12-12! I will upload pictures when I remember to scan the cover.

In anticipation of the collectability of a 12-12-12 cancellation, post offices have issued stamps with the first date of issue falling on this special day. In the case of the Philippine Postal Corporation, it issued the Year of the Dragon stamps.

I will add photos of the souvenir sheet and FDC with the souvenir sheet once I get my hands on them.
