The Philippine Postal Corporation (Philpost) issued of 05 December 2011 its New Year stamps featuring a stylized dragon. The Chinese calendar marks 2012 as the Year of the Dragon.

There were two stamp values: Php 7 and Php 30. The Php 7 stamp depicts a stylized dragon head and the phrase, "Manigong bagong taon." The Php 30 stamp depicts a stylized dragon and the phrase "Happy new year." Thirty-five thousand (35,000) copies of each stamp design was printed. The PhilPost also issued five thousand (5,000) souvenir sheets of four containing two stamps of each value.
