PhilPEx 2012 Commemorative Slogan Cancellation

On 24 January 2012, the Philippine Philatelic Exhibition 2012 was formally opened at the PhilPost Building in Manila.

To celebrate the event, a slogan cancellation was made. Each post office in Metro Manila was supposed to have a canceller like this. The cancellation depicts a stylized dragon head at the lower right hand corner because the PhilPEx 2012 was launched on the day after the celebration of the Chinese New Year.
Postmaster General Ma. Josefina dela Cruz, Jose Rizal's great grandniece Ms. Gemma Cruz-Araneta, and Intramuros Administration Chief Mr. Jose Capistrano Jr. graced the event.
